Non-musical history for today: 1888 – Jack the Ripper killed his third and fourth victims, Elizabeth Stride and Catherine Eddowes. There are five “canonical” victims, Mary Ann Nichols, Annie Chapman, Stride, Eddowes, and Mary Jane Kelly. However, there is no telling how many there really are. These five were considered the most likely to be connected to the same killer. Speculation abounds as to who it was, but the great mystery probably will never be solved.
Music history, album anniversaries, birthdays, and deaths for September 30.
Recorded in the Omniverus Podcast Studios at Liberty Plaza.
