Non-musical history for today: 1066 – The Norman conquest of England began with the Battle of Hastings. I may have mentioned this before, but my name Beeman, is of Norman descent. It started as “Beaumont” (which means “pretty hill”). So, while I say I am a quarter Scottish, a quarter Irish, and half English. I am, in fact, only a quarter English and a quarter Norman, which is part Norse Vikings and part French. Part Scottish and part Viking… no wonder I can drink like I do.
Music history, album anniversaries, birthdays, and deaths for October 14.
