Non-musical history for today: 1605 – Robert Catesby, the ringleader of the Gunpowder Plotters (the one that Guy Fawkes was part of), was shot, which led to his death later that day. As a deterrent for further regicide, they exhumed Catesby’s body, posthumously executed him, and put his severed head on a spike in front of the House of Parliament. Well, that seems fair… I guess.
Music history, album anniversaries, birthdays, and deaths for November 8.
Recorded in the Omniverus Podcast Studios at Liberty Plaza.
