Non-Musical history for today: 1775 – The Mecklenburg Declaration of Independence was allegedly signed in Charlotte, North Carolina. Most historians say the “Meck Dec” as it is called, is an inaccurate rendering of the Mecklenburg Resolves. Those are considerations of independence but were never ratified.
