Non-Musical history for today: 1906 – Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, millionaire Harry Thaw shot and killed prominent architect Stanford White at a rooftop theater at Madison Square Garden because he thought he was holding him back in society. There is thought that Stanford White didn’t even know who Harry Thaw was. The “Trial of the Century,” as it was called, was the first to feature sequestering of jurors in American jurist history.
