Non-musical history for today: 1953 – Cold War: Julius and Ethel Rosenberg were executed at Sing Sing Prison, in New York. While there were several pushes to award clemency to the Rosenbergs, later evidence, known as the Venona encryptions, had actual audio of them selling secrets to the KGB.
