Non-musical history for today: 1495 – A monk, John Cor, recorded the first known batch of Scotch whisky. The spelling of the term whisky is often debated by journalists and consumers. Scottish, English, Welsh, Australian, and Canadian whiskies use whisky, Irish whiskies use whiskey, while American and other styles vary in their spelling of the term. I spell it D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S!

Music history, album anniversaries, birthdays, and deaths for June 1.

Recorded in the Omniverus Podcast Studios at Liberty Plaza.
