Non-musical history for today: 1915 – The United States House of Representatives rejected a proposal to require states to give women the right to vote. In 1920, nearly all the states had women’s suffrage, thanks to the Nineteenth Amendment. While legally being allowed to vote, many blacks (especially women) were denied the act to vote until it was garnered legal protection in 1965. NINETEEN SIXTY-FIVE!!! What the hell, ‘Merica!?
