Non-Musical history for today: 1914 – The first baseball game at Wrigley Field, then known as Weeghman Park, was played in Chicago. It wasn’t the Cubs, however, who played there first. It was the Chicago Whales (because whales are so prevalent in Chicago) of the Federal League. The Cubs moved in two years later.
