Non-Musical history for today: 1889 – At noon, thousands rushed to claim land in the Land Rush of 1889. Within hours the cities of Oklahoma City and Guthrie were formed with populations of at least 10,000. If you’re not reading between the lines, it shouldn’t say, Land Rush, it should say land grab, and it should all be given back to who had it before it was stolen from them. Namely, the Chickisaw, Chocktaw, Creek, Seminole, and Cherokee tribes.
Music history, album anniversaries, birthdays, and deaths for April 22.
Recorded in the Such-N-Such Media Studios at Liberty Plaza or Such-N-Such Media Studio South.
